EMPLOYERS

Airdrie Employment Services assists Business Operators in the local area by offering to post job openings free of charge, for as long as the business requires the posting.

WORKPLACE TRAINING

The Workplace Training program is an employer delivered, worksite training opportunity available to unemployed and marginally employed individuals who are having difficulty entering the workforce due to lack of skills. It is designed to enable individuals to acquire skills required in the local labour market and to assist them, to obtain viable employment that provides increased income and work related benefits.

Those eligible for the program include:
  • potential employees who may have had difficulty in obtaining and retaining employment because of a need for more job training and additional on-the-job experience.
  • employers who have the ability and experience to deliver the required training, with attention to transferable job skills. They should also be able to provide participants with continued employment after the Workplace Training program is completed.
The Workplace Training program also offers off-site courses where needed. Support/follow-up services are provided to clients for six months following successful completion of the program.
